How to Get to First Page of Google Fast

First page of Google is the dream of every blogger. Getting to the first page of Google has to be one of the top five questions I get asked online. In this post I will be showing you why the first page of Google is not a myth and that if you follow my directions, luck would smile on you.

When you get to forums like BetterNetworker and Warrior Forums, you will be sure to see questions about getting to the first page of Google and mahn the explanations could be so complex. So for a long time I thought it was impossible to crack the Google code and to consistently get listed on the first page of Google.

But here I am. I checked all the keywords (these are the specific words you type in the search box of the search engines to look for relevant information) I used in my last 10 posts and alas all of them are on the first page of Google. I discovered that for some of them I have as much as four entries. For prove just type “How to Create a Customized Fanpage in Minutes”. My entry is in the first four result of Google as at today.

In fact my last post Got on the first page of Google in 30mins albeit through a submission site for bloggers. (I’m not kidding you. I actually timed it and typed in ‘Blogging Mastermind’, and ‘Power of a mastermind). Fast forward about 6 hours later and my blog was on first page.

Before I continue, some of you might be wondering what the fuzz about the first page of google is all about and why getting to the first page of Google is so important for your Home-Based Business. So let me answer that question.

Why Getting to the First Page of Google is So Important

To put it simply, getting to the first page of Google is mostly about traffic. The more of your contents appear on the first page of Google the more people click on your entry and are redirected to your blog.

Some people get all their blogging income simply be focusing on the Google traffic and taking care of the visitors from there, though I believe Social Media should not be ignored in your efforts too.

If your content is not on the first page, the probability of people going to second page, third page is very low except the entries on the first page are really irrelevant. So the first page of Google is where the money is.

Tips That Helped Me Get to First Page of Google

  1. OnPage SEO Optimization

When I hear people say that on page keyword optimization is no longer important to getting ranked on first page, I just chuckle. Because it’s either they have not read the Google Manual or Google is flat-out lying and why should they?

On page SEO optimization involves taking care of the contents of your articles such that they become Google-friendly. Done the right way you will gain a great advantage over those who fail to see the power of Onpage optimization for maximum exposure.

These are the OnPage optimization tips I use to get to the first page of Google.

  • Optimize your Headline: In Internet Marketing jargon this is called H1 tag. Include your keyword in your headline e.g in my last post, I wrote this title

What I wanted to rank for was ‘Blogging Masterminding’ so I included it in my headline.

A great tip is to use your keyword twice. e.g I did a post about Blokube sometimes back and the title was

Notice how I used the keyword, Blokube, twice?

Other tips for headlines is to use symbols like ***, “”, [] etc.

  • Optimize your H1, H2, H3,H4 tags. These are subheadings. In this post I have 3 subheadings, meaning I have H1, H2, H3 and H4 tags.

If you are ranking for a particular keyword have at least H2 & H3 and include your keyword in every one of them.

  • Use at least one image in your posts and put your article headline as your alt tag in the description. Your keyword must be there.
  • In the first and sentences of your article make sure you use your keyword at least once.
  • Use your keyword throughout the article and highlight them by use of ‘bold’, ‘italics’, ‘underline’. It’s calling Google’s attention to them as terms to be noted.

NOTE: Don’t shamelessly include your keyword everywhere in your article. You could be penalized for it. Just include your keyword sparingly throughout your post.

2. Off-Page Optimization

This is a little difficult and one which I am constantly researching on. But in simple terms, it’s the number of sources (call them links), which says that your article is credible and important. Websites that link back to your site.

But for the purpose of this post, I will be giving a list of those that have ‘produced’. Submit your posts to these places and they will link back to you giving you a vote of confidence in the eyes of the search engines.

Getting to the first page of Google is really not as complicated as folks on Warrior Forum tend to make it. What you need to do is find out what Google want and give it to them. Deliver what Google desire.
