How to Get Thousands of Fans for FanpagesA facebook fan page without fans is like a beautiful shopping mall with no customers. Of what use is it? The same way the owner of a very attractive shopping would not be too pleased is the same way I know a lot of facebook fanpage owners are. I intend to give you some awesome tips in this post such that when next you visit this blog you would have gotten thousands of fans on your facebook fanpage.

In my last post, I gave you a very lovely tool that can be used to customize your facebook fan page such that with it you can have a very attractive fan page that could pull in leads for you when done properly.

I did not just give you the tool; I also provided some useful insights into why you want to consider getting a fan page for your business, product, or blog.

However having a beautifully customized fan page is only a part of the equation. If you do not have a way to drive traffic there, you are missing a very important part. If you like, have the best customized fan page with a strong call to action to getting your free gift, if you cannot drive traffic to this page you have just added your fan page to the numbers.

I don’t want that. For any regular reader of this site, I want you to make the best use of anything you have available, facebook fanpages inclusive.

Some might argue that what use is trying to get traffic to the fan page and that they want the traffic to their fan pages to come naturally. That’s okay! If that’s what you want, you are welcomed to stop reading right now. However if you are still open-minded to why having many fans could prove advantageous to your home-based business, I offer my insights…

Benefits of Having Many Fans on Your Facebook Fanpage

  1. Good for Branding: You should realize that branding is everything on the internet. Your fan page carries your signature and you want to have as many people as possible recognizing you on the internet as much as possible. And where best to do that than on the phenomenon of the moment: Social Media. And since facebook has taken on the mantle of the king of Social media, you want to be seen on the best of the best platform.
  2. Social Proof: How do you view someone with 50k followers on twitter? You see them as an expert of a sort, right? Same thing with facebook fan pages. The more the fans you have, the more people see you as someone to be listened to. Someone they should pay attention to. This is especially important if you are involved in a home-based business.
  3. More Leads: People should realize that I am not online to while away time. I’m not here for chitchat or fun. I’m online for business and I should treat it as such. Because I see a fan page as a way to generate leads for my home-based business, I have a special offer for people in exchange for their contact. That way I can keep in touch with them and build a relationship with them, and offer them even more tremendous value. What this mean for me is that if I want to get more leads, I should drive more traffic to my fan page. It’s a no-brainer! You need a large amount of traffic to your fan page to get a large amount of leads.
  4. Group Effect: Answer this question: You see two fan pages offering about the same value. One has 6 fans, the other has 10,000 fans. Which fan page would you prefer to ‘like’? You see where I am going? The more fans you have, the more fans you will have. :)
  5. Probably Good for SEO: In my last post I told you about that I found one of my fan pages on the first page of Google. I am no expert in SEO but I have been reading up on Google and the way they rank pages, and one key thing I get is that Google likes a site with a lot of traffic, and tends to rank it very high. Therefore I consider that if there are two fan pages with the same keyword Google will prefer to rank the fan page with more fans higher. Like I said, I am no expert, but I have a gut feeling that’s what Google would do. Why? Because that’s what I would do if I were Google. :)

These are just my thoughts and feel free to disagree with me on any of the points.

Tips to Get Thousand of Fans for your facebook Fan Pages

  1. Ask Your friends: I can see Joshua chuckling already. I’m also giggling as I write this. :) But all kidding aside, if I have a brand-new fan page, obviously no one knows me but my folks. Therefore the logical thing for me to do is to ask my friends to ‘like’ me because they already like me. If I ask Marcus or Ryan or Sherman, I’m sure they wont see that as ‘pleading’. Why? Because we already have a relationship. What if I ask my friends over at Clever Marketer Mastermind? There is nothing wrong with that. In fact I can get 200 fans in a space of 2 days calling on my friends. What I don’t want is you having that as the only option. So on to the next tip…
  2. Mail Your List: Just use an Autoresponder to send a message to your list intimating them about the additional benefit they stand to gain by connecting with you on your fan page because you are putting your efforts into making it throughly exceptional. You could get hundreds of people in a space of an hour doing that alone. The only clause is the relationship you have with them, and of course the size of your list.
  3. Join This Group: I stumbled on this group last week and the goal of this group is to get you a thousand fans. If you want more info on this group, CLICK HERE.
  4. Use Facebook Ads: If you have some extra bucks to spare, you could promote your fan page using facebook ads and facebook will do a good job for you. Personally, I just don’t like to buy when there is free for the same value, ya know. ;) So, on to the next tip…
  5. Use twitter: I see a lot of top internet and network marketers use this trick to get thousands of fans on their fan pages. What they do is simply use a tool called Social Oomph to automate messages to people who follow them on twitter. An example of such a message is this:

Hey thanks for the follow! You are cool :P Connect with me on facebook http://YourFanPageLink.com I love connecting with cool peeps

Look, that line I gave you is very powerful. You want to use it! Feel free to let me know of the line you use if you have one.

6. Use Facebook Widget: If you have a blog, it’s a good idea to have a facebook fan page widget on your blog. I see a lot of my friends have it. Maybe it’s time to remove my networkedblog widget and replace it with my fan page, it’s more useful anyway, especially now that I have many times more fans over at my fan page. You cannot believe how many people click that widget here. Same thing will happen to your fan page, provided you offer value on your blog.

7. Use Twiends: This tool is powerful! It offers you followers for your twitter account, fans for your facebook fan pages and friends for your YouTube channel. Simply get an account an account HERE and follow their instructions. Did I say it’s free? One of my friends currently has 3500 friends and he got about two thirds of them through twiends.
